Congratulations Augusta State!

The Augusta State Jaguars are the 2010 Collegiate Disc Golf Champions!

Strong individual scores helped propel the team from Augusta State to the top of the team leader board. With a 13 stroke lead the Jaguars rolled to victory in the final round of today’s play. Three members from the four person team finished within the top sixteen, surmounting a team total that could not be surpassed. Hours of practice time paid off for this well deserving bunch, earning their place in the record books.

In addition to team title and individual title, the following awards were given out today:

• Doubles Team Champions:  Western Illinois
• First Flight Champions:  University of Oregon
• Long Drive Champion: Ryne Roberts – Tennessee Tech
• Putting Team Champions: Tennessee Tech
• All American Team (Top 16 individual scores)

The top sixteen team scores earn automatic entrance into next year’s tournament.
